I fit western & english saddles with a western tree & Barefoot, Edix, Ghost treeless
Based in the South East of England I offer a full holistic saddle fitting service to clients with western saddles and those who want to make the change to a saddle with a western tree. I also fit and advise on treeless saddles including Barefoot, Edix and Ghost. I am a qualified western saddle fitter and part of a small team at The Western Saddler (TWS) where we have a holistic, equine focused approach to saddle fitting and where the comfort and well-being of your horse is our priority.
My goal is to give you and your horse a lifetime of comfortable riding and I do this by
An initial consultation usually takes 1.5-2hrs and there will be follow up conversations and ongoing support if needed
You then choose the style of saddle you want, leather colour, seat material and colour, latigo colour, breast collar, tooling, conchos, stirrups etc etc (this is the fun part!) and the saddle is made to order using the tree measurements I took and your saddle choices making it unique to you and your horse.
We only recommend Mattes saddle pads and cinches due to their superior quality and you won't regret choosing one - they are stunning! You can choose the style of pad, colours and detailing and then once your saddle is built (usually 12-14 weeks) I'll bring everything to you, fit the saddle, make any adjustments needed and you're ready to ride!
By the end of the process you will have a saddle fitted to your horse and to you and in your favourite colours and designs so it will be truly unique!
Consultation fee: £95
Travel expenses: 45p/mile plus tolls if applicable
Fitting of your new saddle (if you purchase a new one) is included in the consultation fee but travel will be payable.
If you need your new saddle checked in the first year after fitting only travel is payable. In the second year it's 50% of the consultation fee plus travel.
I will talk you through the whole process before the consultation but if you have any questions before you decide to book please do ask.
If you'd like to book a consultation just drop me a line or complete a consultation form.
I look forward to meeting you and your horse.
